Diabetes Pilot Pro App Reviews

Must have wifi to fully use

Sadly must be online to use any help parts like foods u use often. It will NOT save scanned nutrition to the program even foods you eat regularly. You have No way to save scanned foods which makes this useless to help diabetics.

Great app.

Great app used several different versions including desktop.

Extend your life for now much money !!!

Could not live without this program . Drs love it . Accurate history in graphic display . Maybe I could live without it after two years . But not as long

Simply The Best

This App is by far the best there is on the market. It does everything I need and much more. I have been using the classic version for 4 years and I have just moved to the PRO version. Absolutely fantastic!! The only negative drawback, there is a subscription for the advanced features.

The best Diabetes app!

Ive been using this app for almost 20 years and its the best there is! It covers the full gamut of things a person with diabetes must concern himself with, unlike many of the so-called Diabetes apps out there. Im convinced that at least some of the design staff have diabetes because its evident throughout the program.

Scan, cook, add to data base

The iPhone works better than the I-pad version plus iPhone can set custom alarms to glucose when you do not eat on a schedule. Exercise module needs expansion to measure time and pace or distance,

Love it!

Very easy to use. I had a problem with subscription when I upgraded from free version and they were super helpful & got it fixed fast! I really like the charts & graphs... Although I wish the daily glucose graph would show up to 500 for us brittle diabetics (only goes up to 250). Other than that the app is fantastic!

Very helpful in Diabetes management!

Definitely the best app out there!

Diabetes Pilot Pro

Love this application. Easier to read and more options. Worth the money.

Couldnt do without it

Making the transition from all oral meds to 6x per day testing and basal insulin 1 per day and short acting insulin 4 times is hard. Without this ap Id be lost. Its a little quirky at times but easy to get used to. The food database is a little hard to work with but all those I looked at were too. I researched and tried all of the other apps - this one is way ahead of the game and the support is friendly helpful and quick!

Serendip

Excellent program. Best that I have used. Two things will make it unbeatable. It needs to expand its food program as well as making it far more intuitive to create repeating meal groupings. In addition it needs to expand the report sets to find paired data outcomes.

Best diabetes app

Ive tried most of the diabetes logging apps out there and this the best, which it should be given how long theyve been working on it (started on the Palm Pilots).

Great app but could use some tweaks

Ive used DP for several years now. There really is no competitor app if you are serious about keeping track of BG, meals, carbs, exercise, insulin etcetera. Use other apps if you just want a BG log. I upgraded to Pro. The monthly fee is minimal and Im Ok with it if it helps them keep the app fresh. The extra features are not something I would ever use. Couple of warnings. As diabetics we frequently have issues with our eyes. Add to that expected challenges as we age. Most screens especially input screens use pale blue font over a white background. Its a real struggle for me. I also have to vary insulin/carb ratios by meal or time of day e.g. I need more insulin to cover lunch. I used a Palm app (EZManager?) YEARS ago that allowed you to vary the ratio by meal. It cant be more than 6 lines of code. Theyve resisted this suggestion which is disappoint. But then Im getting pretty good at dividing by 13!

Tshaw

Excellent App. I really like using this. It is the BEST Diabetes App that I have found!

Adequate

Although adequate it only worked a week without requiring that you pay. I only want glucose tracking no food, blood pressure, exercise, etc. too expensive for just that.

Diabetes Pilot Pro

Very good for a journal type account of my day with blood sugar checks, food, insulin, and exercise. I like the scan bar code feature for food. Adding food to the favorites categories in the food option is too complicated. Just add a button that adds the food to favorites.

Paid for it.

Looks pretty good. Wish it would track a few more thing. Body fat %, cholesterol, a1cs? Also let us export to csv or pdf, after all we are paying for it continually. Like that it is working with health app.

Love the app!

Im a long time Diabetes Pilot user since the Palm Pilot version, and now Im using the i6. I take Lantus once a day and base the Novolog on the food I eat instead of taking a flat dose. I love how this calculates the amount for me. I add my own foods to the very extensive database under "my" folder and use that more frequently since there is less to search through. I wouldnt consider using any other app.

Outstanding

Dont mess with the other ones...this one is well worth the price. Just get it...after all... Its your health.

Only Complete Diabetes App

I have been using this app for a few years and no other approaches it. I have tried others on occasion that have promised tracking features for diabetics but either they are too basic or sometimes silly. Whats great for me is that even Blood Pressure monitoring (Qardio Arm) syncs with Diabetes Pro. For some reason the Pulse does not register in Diabetes Pro and Im hopeful that will be addressed. The records that it creates and the food database are superior. Yes its a little pricier than other apps but you do get what you pay for. Keep up the good work guys and gals. I look forward to continued integration with Apple Health! Oh, almost forgot: customer service and support is wonderful!
