Diabetes Pilot Pro App Reviews

Best diabetic app

My dr absolutely loves this. I can email her results and she can help me tweak numbers plus this has a lot of additional features. Definitely worth the money.

Best of the best

I mustve tried every diabetes related app on the app store and this one was the only one that had every feature I was looking for.

Well worth the price

The food database is massive and the app contains the most common data youll need.

A little buggy on the ipad

But still the greatest diabetic assistance around. The updated favorite foods functionality is worth its weight in gold. Keep up the good work.

The BEST Diabetes App!

I have been using DP for over four years. Recently upgraded and went pro. Kept old version because old records did not go over to the new app. GET IT!

Love it so far

I have been using the app for less than a month, but love it so far. Very easy to use entry and the output graphics seem to be more than enough for review with my doctor. Nice job!

Not bad, auto renewal- nope

I found the program very easy to use and a quick way to enter data. In "food" the scan (upc label) worked very well to find and auto enter a serving into the data. The graphing features, need improvement. There is no way to scale the "X" axis (glucose data), so you get 20 (think youd be dead?) to 200+ and only day, week, month on the "Y". I am deleting this app due to the auto renewal. Would I pay 11.99/ year for this program ? Probably if I thought they would make some improvements I want. However, I will NOT agree to any "automatic" renewal. Thats why I stopped my satellite radio subscription. Too bad, bye bye diabetesPilot.

Food Database/Pro version

Unfortunately, scanned labels are not saved in favorites. They have to rescanned repeatedly every time the item is consumed and recorded. This would be a feature worth developing, Digital Altitudes LLC. Additionally, Pro version does not have app, once purchased, does not require, a monthly subscription.

Love the food database

I tried several other apps but none of them was as easy to use as this one. The extensive food database was the real selling point for me.

Love it, but

I love this app, but... I really wish there was an Apple Watch app that I could use to enter glucose levels into the app. How about, any chance?

Very good app

A good app. Only suggestion would be to make favorites easier. Scanning into favorites would be a great addition.

Diabetes Pilot Pro is a great app

I have used diabetes pilot for several years. The upgrade to pro was a nice improvement to the original app.

Could be so good, but lots of rough edges

I was excited to try Diabetes Pilot because years ago I loved the Palm Pilot version of this app. I am extremely disappointed. I am trying to do some logging for my next diabetic checkup and will probably try another app after a few days. It has so many rough edges, and doesn’t give you a level of confidence that your data is not going to disappear. What I love: - Scan is fantastic. Just scan a UPC label and you get your food found. I love that. Issues: - The sync to the Health app, and my CGM data from there is broken. Health does see my CGM data, but Diabetes Pilot has stopped importing it. It did grab some data from several months ago. Bizarre. - Numerous crashes and database errors, I’m always scared I am going to lose my data - Data does not show up all the time, switching filters several times seems to be the workaround - Recording data is not dead simple as the old Palm Pilot app - Duplicating meals is impossible - I’ve tried to save meals and just can’t figure it out - Searching for food is bizarre, it gives too many options from packaged and restaurant sources for my workflow - The Food DB organization is bizarre and not very useful - Setting up standard meals is impossible, I’ve tried several times with no luck - The UI is unnecessarily complex

A very useful app

I have been using the mobile version of Diabetes Pilot for many years. I find the app essential when preparing for a meeting with my Endocrinologist or diabetes counselor. However, the data logging is too tedious for long term use. The food data base, however, is very helpful for daily use. The desktop version is not that much of a step up in utility, and is not worth the extra cost to me. The reports and graphs are much prettier than those in the mobile version. I find emailing selected records to my desktop lets me format the data to my liking rather than relying on the formatting in the app.

Definite Maybe

Used it ten days. Asked my opinion too soon. Bought for gluc, food, meds, fitness. Could be good but learning curve steep, with little learning resources. Not cloud based. Needed on the go (phone) and for analysis (Mac). Worth the effort to extend my life. Check back later.

Four star for the content categories Program wont orient on I-pad Program won always load

Graphs and tables simplify complex interpretation

When your regimen is quite large and your memory quite small this is an invaluable tool . The grounds and information taken each day provide a movie of your health when put together

Very good

Being diabetic for 52 years I have found that this app is the best and easiest to use. Great keep up the good work.

Love this app. Just the right amount

After a long search for the right diabetic health tracking app I was glad to find diabetes pilot. It makes tracking food a breeze with itss scanner function, and it also tracks just the right other help information in a way thats easy to use. It is far more helpful than Apples health kit
